Used Home School Christian Curriculum

Homeschooling investigated
Educators, Parents, Students lend me your ears, my name is Katie Criss and I am going to talk about education at home with you. Currently there is a very heated debate on the issue of homeschooling in America. Today I will present my views on this critical issue. When I say "my views" I will not stick his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing with this issue of homeschooling. I know that There are two parties, and supporters of both .. Rather I will present to you my views on the opinion and research on why I am a critic of the homeschooling.
When I asked myself, how do you feel about home schooling? The first time I thought "Why would anyone do that "So I researched exactly that, what are the reasons given why people choose to homeschool and how valid.
One of the reasons frequently found through research that was home educated parents to their children because of violence in public schools. My answer to this is yes, there is violence in public schools, however, there are many preventive measures are taken to prevent violence and most schools have made a policy of zero tolerance. Parents warrant reciting isolated incidents to help build his case for home schooling. My message to parents who use this excuse to validate them is, first ask the question, is the violence in my neighborhood. I'm sure if you live in Harlem, New York, compared to South Park, Pennsylvania, not going to be a huge difference in crime in the area. My next question is how do you expect to protect your child from all dangers of society? Home schooling child is an attempt to isolate the parents to their children the real world, scary stories. If you're afraid of your child being bullied, what will happen when your child becomes an adult and knows a head of bullying? This is a true story of the world, children need exposure to different people. Why? Simple, because nobody in this world is the same.
After doing much research and learning that parents question the safety of their children in public schools I myself questioned the safety of home schooled children. From this research I concluded that the current home education law that people who abuse children to keep them in social isolation, so that abuse and neglect go unnoticed. To support this claim until I quote a few of many incidents.
Smithfield, North Carolina, 13 October 2003. A sign hangs on the wall that says it is not home sweet home, adjust. In the bedroom, 14-year-old Brandon had committed suicide after killing his brother and sister. Yes, these children were at home to school, but the real point of this story is that Warren had educated their children home before, in Arizona, where they were found guilty of child abuse. A researcher at Arizona record that children were tortured physically and emotionally. However, this is information that school officials in North Carolina are not required to collect. In fact, from home schooling became legal in North Carolina in 1985, the number of students learning at home grew from a few hundred to more than 50,000. But there has been no change in the number of state employees who oversee the program, only three for the entire state.
In Iowa, a father is serving life and a mother will go to trial this month, for killing his 10-year-old adopted son and burying him in his house in the backyard. Because they were home schooling nobody noticed he was missing an entire year.
In Texas, Deanna Laney, the mother of homeschooling for three years, told investigators he beat his sons with rocks, because he was saving them of Satan.
Another notorious case is similar and of Andrea Yates, the Texas home school mother of five children who drowned her five children in the bathtub of her home. Many argue that Yates had been overwhelmed by the constant demand for spending time with their children due to the fact that she was a parent home schooling.
For comparison, Yates and Laney, two of these mothers were religious. Both wives were subservient handling the pressures of child care. Interestingly, both used education Christian home for their children condemned. Both "talked with God." Both mothers say the Christian fundamentalists who sacrificed their own children "to God. "Each of the Andrea Yates child, as Mrs. Laney, were home-schooled and had biblical names. These are two examples that are very similar each other both mentally ill mothers trusted to be home with their children and give them their education. Which brings me to my next finding, say the parents to the school of their children at home to give them a better public education then the school can give. My question is, how is a parent able to offer their children an education? Homeschooling parents have no set curriculum to happen, but do not worry, you can simply buy books from the Internet, entitled "Home Schooling for Dummies "if they have problems that must solve the problems. I like to refer to teachers and future teachers, and ask aa question, Could replace their studies with a do-it-yourself dummies book? I'm sure if you could then that would be the route of study, rather than long hours of tedious work provided by a university. To develop a professional career, including education in the state of Pennsylvania, should be available free space showing clear a background check, take Praxis tests demonstrate a thorough knowledge in at least a 4 years of education at least a 3.0 GPA, a speech and hearing testing, hours of observation, teaching students under the supervision and lifelong learning credits to maintain certification in the field. However, for home schooling in California, the only requirement is that parents be notified that they will be home schooling your child. The qualifications listed are only to show that parents are "capable of teaching". Even more shocking is the state of Texas, home to both Andrea Yates and Deanna Laney, no requirements for home schooling in fact parents do not even have to notify the state that is home schooling. They must have the skills to teach. That's all, if they want to be A Teacher, they are!
Note that each state is different. In South Carolina, moderate color regulation parent must have at least a GED or high to teach. However, in New York, which is considered high regulation, no qualifications are necessary. As Thus, if a father did not even get a high school diploma in New York are still qualified to teach their children the school supplies. I came the conclusion of this information that a child can only go so far as their parents, and in some cases that may not be far behind. Therefore, these children are being deprived of a valuable education.
I was also asked, having a father as a teacher … teaching their children, their bias is? In a institution's goals are to ensure that the material taught is bias free. However, in a house, a parent is free to choose, some knowingly, others without unknowingly teaching their children their own prejudices. In a world that is culturally diverse, one must be exposed to different people and situations in order to appreciate our differences. However, if a student had been formed and then the biases that are largely closed mind to accept these differences. Similar to this issue, even though both take me to a valuable question is how parents home schooling can justify the teaching of their children for a child throughout childhood. When a student is in a public school with many different teachers, who use many different teaching methods. However, in a house of parents, especially without education on how to educate, would use only one method of teaching. Of course, if they are teaching at all, not only with books or videos. Through different teachers how to learn virtually in different ways. They also learn to understand people better. My question that ties all these valuable items together is how a child develop their social skills, if they are exposed to different people? The school environment is very similar to its environment work. If a child has never been exposed to an environment and how will they know how to adapt? How will they react to all different people, different opinions and different viewpoints? How will working with groups of coworkers? All these questions address the issue of socialization of children are home schooling. Closely related is one of my big questions is how can a parent make a crucial decision without the consent of their children to get them out of a world that is considered the "norm" and place in a world in which in effect are isolated? These children develop low self esteem and always wondered why it was their parents do not want to send to school, to show them off to the world, but will wonder what is behind them to me? More importantly, these Children do not have the expertise offered by the public school, not have the experience that people that unites us and gives us a common fund. They're not going to experience things simple as going to dance, participate in sports that benefits an entire school, have school lunch, a lock on his locker, a ride on a school bus, the recreation, looking for his school to be canceled on television on snowy days, and all other events, but little character formation taking place in public life, students at the school.
Finally, U.S. citizens and we will promote our prestigious and renowned system public schools and the crusade against the leniency of home schooling that consequently will benefit our country by providing a solid education to everyone.
